Having made his worldwide debut in 2010, Thirimanne performed 44 Take a look at matches, 127 ODIs and 26 T20Is. He was a part of three T20 World Cup campaigns, together with Sri Lanka’s win in 2014, and performed two ODI World Cups. He additionally led Sri Lanka in 5 one-dayers.
